  Mount Olympus Ski Center (Vrysopoules)

  The only organized ski area on Mount Olympus, at the Vrysopoules site; founded in 1934 and used for Greek special-forces winter training since 1960. It is operated by the military but open to the public on weekends (roughly December-March), with free access to three pistes totaling about 3.5km; entry requires ID, and overnight stays in the refuge need special permission.
